During my recent trip to Warsaw, dedicated to attending the IAJGS conference held there this week, I took the time to visit the Archiwum Państwowe w Warszawie (the Polish state archive in Warsaw).
I came there with one goal in mind and that is to find and copy the records relating to “Frorida” which I have located earlier this year.
And so I went to the archive, filled out the necessary paperwork and ordered the archival fond based on the search results above. Keep in mind the file may not be provided at this time.
For a few days I gave the archive a call every morning just to make sure they understand I will be leaving in a few days and really want to view the records before I head home.
And so this morning I got to go back to the archive and the archival file was waiting for me there.
The next step is to try and locate the actual paperwork submitted when my great-grandfather opened the company.
