Bridging the Gap Between Numbers and Narratives
My fascination with family history isn’t just a career; it’s a lifelong pursuit that began in elementary school. For nearly three decades, I have been meticulously weaving the threads of the past into the fabric of the present.
However, my journey reached a defining crossroads in 2017. In a moment of professional honesty, I realized that my previous research—while extensive—didn’t meet the rigorous standards of documentation and scientific precision I demanded of myself. I made the bold decision to delete nearly thirty years of work and start over from scratch.
This “clean slate” transformed my methodology. Today, at Alyagon Genealogy, every branch of a family tree is built on a foundation of primary documents, cross-referenced facts, and undeniable evidence. My commitment to this standard led me to open my professional practice in 2022, and to ensure I stay at the forefront of the field, I will be pursuing a formal Degree in History starting in 2026.
The Actuarial Edge. In my parallel professional life, I work as an Actuary. This background gives me a unique advantage in the genealogical world. My daily work involves analyzing life expectancies and mortality risks with absolute precision. There is a profound symmetry in what I do: while my actuarial work focuses on the statistics of life and death, my genealogical work “brings people back to life.” Through deep data analysis and historical context, I recover forgotten stories and restore them to the family memory.
Your Guide Through Time. Whether you are a seasoned researcher or a complete novice, I founded Alyagon Genealogy to be your personal guide. Sometimes the search is straightforward—locating an indexed record and translating it. More often, it is a complex puzzle that requires knowing how to search, where to dig, and how to interpret the silence between the records.
I invite you to join me in this fascinating exploration. Together, we will embark on a journey back in time—unearthing secrets, rediscovering legacies, and celebrating the rich, timeless story that is uniquely yours.
